Two years ago we began Club 52 at LCR by reading a few verses a day for 52 weeks. This year let’s expand our time in the Scriptures with a Club 52 Bible Study on line, at home and at church by reading Thirty Key New Testament Stories. We will read selections from the New Testament beginning with the annunciation and ending with the resurrection; one reading a week, for thirty weeks, in manageable “chunks.” Bible study begins September 19 and ends May 19 with time off at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
The Bible is the main source of information for Club 52. LCR’s Christian Education Blog will introduce the weekly verse and begin to develop the ideas we will consider for that week. Conversation will begin and continue through Facebook and Twitter. We will meet at LCR the third Saturday of the month to get to know one another and freely express any nagging questions or insights we might have about the scriptures we read. Please pray about becoming a part of this Opening the Book of Faith opportunity. Each weekly reading is manageable and if it’s difficult to complete the reading accept God’s Grace for that week and continue in the study.
